Public Policy // Finance // Political Economy

Strengths in financial analysis, technical/quantitative organization, strategy and structuring, and communications.

My background is diversified across both the public and private disciplines, as well as across research and practice. My degree in business administration, as well as my minors in public policy and political science and public sector experience, provide a unique perspective on the interface of government and industry, planning and implementation, people and projects.

I have an extensive background in research, and have excelled in both academic and professional research settings.  My academic research in the social sciences was recognized by the President’s Undergraduate Research Award as well as featured in Georgia Tech research symposia. My professional research (for HM Government’s Trade & Investment) was utilized in numerous projects.  I have also been involved with literary and linguistic research through the Georgia Tech Communications Lab, which recognized me through the creation of an annual award bearing my name.

Through leadership positions in my university's Student Government or other organizations I have run or founded, and on several Institute-wide committees, I successfully implemented improvements to campus life, government-managed funding allocation, and social policy.

Working for Congressman John Lewis, I applied an aptitude for both business and policy to produce meaningful results for the constituents of my home district. I crafted policy recommendations to help prevent foreclosures, working with both industry analysts and legislative advisors to determine optimal outcomes for homeowners.

At work for HM Government's Foreign & Commonwealth Office at the British Consulate General in Atlanta, I developed strategic proposals for global priorities in political and public affairs to bolster the 'special relationship' that we share - and cherish.

I left the Consulate to work on a senatorial campaign in Atlanta, GA, for the 2014 cycle.  My work was focused on voter protection programs statewide, especially among minority groups in the southernmost districts.

I returned post-election to work for HM Government, in the department for Politics, Press & Public Affairs as an assistant to HM Consul in Atlanta.  I co-managed the Government's early engagement with the 2016 election cylce in the southeast and developed programmes which aim to achieve Government's priorities in the USA.

In April 2015, I joined Accenture's federal services practice as a management consulting analyst in Washington, DC.
